Coil Packs & IGNIGHTERS
Coil packs can be some of the most frustrating components on an RB engine; they can cause high-end miss-fire, Coffs & splutters, a drop off in horsepower etc. My recommendation is to only use the standard coil packs on a non turbo engine, and if you have to buy a second hand set, try and get some from a non turbo as they won’t have been as cooked as those on a turbo engine. It is simple, Heat is the biggest killer, and 15 or more years + heat = they are going to fail eventually.
